Hello,

I'm having sinus surgery on Wednesday morning. I haven't been under general anesthesia since getting sick so I'm a bit nervous.

I'll let you know how it goes,

Lisa

Lisa,

I am sure you must be nervous about your surgery, even those without chronic medical problems would be nervous about ANY surgery. I am sure you will do just fine, you will have lots of friends praying for you. I have had quite a few surgeries since being diagnosed with POTS and have never had any complications, so I will hope and pray the same for you. (My POTS symptoms were even BETTER for a few weeks after having surgery the last time, so go figure???) Take care of yourself and let us know how things go.

Good luck tomorrow. I had sinus surgery in 2003 and my best suggestion is after sugery, don't forget the simple things, like how much an ice pack can help with any pain in your head, face, jaw, etc. Follow the post surgical instructions for rinsing (if they tell you to)...and rest, rest, rest.

Lisa,

I hope you are now well on the road to post-op recovery. Make sure that you rest and take regular pain killers. Let your friends and family spoil you for a bit!

Best wishes,

Flop

Hello everyone!

Thanks so much for all of your encouraging posts! I am very thankful to be home and recovering. The surgery went smoothly and I didn't seem to react to the anesthesia in any odd ways.

I'm feeling pretty puny but I'm in little pain -- I'm really thankful that the surgery is over and that I'm back home. My mom came in town to help take care of me. (yay!)

Thanks again for your encouragement,

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I'm so glad to hear that everything went well and that you're back home.

Let everyone pamper you for a while! Enjoy it for all it's worth.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Rachel
