Anybody feel nauseated all the time?

I took a liquid medicine that helped that for a while. I took it for a week and my stomach feels a lot better. I don't remember the medicine or what it was for. I would have to look it up it was so long ago.

Now I treat my nausea with kefir and Rolaids plus gas relief. Or if it is just starting a pickle or something tart like that settles it. My mom likes green grapes for her.

Have they ever done a scope to see what was going on?

No they have not. But I let my specialist know about it. The next time I see her, I will let her know about it again. I've only seen her once. So I'm just getting started with figuring things out.

Seems like it's getting worse. Went to sleep nauseated and woke up immediately nauseated. I always have some weird feeling in my stomach too. I really started noticing it when I had my 3rd fainting spell that happened at work. It's a weird feeling that goes in a line straight down my stomach.

I had so much constant nausea in the beginning of my illness. At first I was treated for an ulcer. It helped dramatically but I still struggled with nausea and lack of appetite. They gave me anti-nausea medication to help (Zofran).

I always have peppermints nearby - especially first thing in the morning when the nausea is worse. I suck on the peppermint until the nausea passes enough for me to get something to eat. Licorice root can help with acid problems that cause nausea too (the deglycyrrhizinated kind wont affect blood pressure). I also have gum everywhere too to chew on - it helps to give me a distraction. Occasionally I will use gaviscon if I feel it is a weird stomach sensation (not regular nausea).

Eating bland foods can help. I know the last thing you want to do is eat but if you don’t then you just feel worse (no energy or strength). Plain oatmeal, crackers and toast were my go-to things I started with. I also picked up vanilla protein Ensure to make sure I was getting some nutrition. I’ve heard some people drink diet soda for nausea or protein powder mixed into yoghurt. I’ve heard of grapes (frozen grapes) helping as well.

I’ve been taking Salt Stick Vitassium pills everyday to get my sodium intake up without being too harsh on my stomach - regular salt pills destroyed my gut and make me nauseated.

I hope the nausea will settle down for you! It is awful :(.

Your PCP can request it if you like them better. My PCP did most of my testing until I seen my specialist. He mostly works on my medications. My PCP works more on ruling out things for me.

Nausea is a common symptom of dysautonomia. For me it was Zofran, frequent small snacks rather than meals and gingerale instead of water - this helps me still when I get the waves of nausea.

Yep, been nauseated since POTS onset - for me it seems more of a cerebral hypoperfusion symptom than a GI problem. I took a low dose of mirtazapine to help with sleep and nausea for a couple of years. It helped me grain back the 6kg I'd lost. It is only licenced as an antidepressant in humans but it is a more potent antiemetic than any licenced drug I've tried for this indication. Mirtazapine does have a licence for veterinary use as an antiemetic - exactly the same as it works in humans - all our drugs go through animal trials before human use, and it is what your vet would likely prescribe for an anorexic cat. Most doctors will be aware of its appetite promoting/anti nausea effect and should be happy to prescribe.

Licorice root was SUCH a blessing for me for the year it worked. I don't know about nausea but if you get the kind with the active ingredient ie non - DGL (I use Swansons) it may just help your passing out as well.
