Day After Migraine

How do you guys feel the day after a migraine? I had a Migraine Monday night at 930pm. Then I had two migraines yesterday and felt sick all day. My Grandma picked me up more vitamin b2 which I use for prevention of migraines and that seems to help. I finally feel almost back to normal. I do though feel really tired and my eyes feel a little fuzzy off and on. I want to draw but my eyes wont focus enough to draw and I have been wearing sunglasses indoors. Does anyone else get that the day after migraines? I am so glad the worst is hopefully over.

I feel very sluggish & tired especially the day after a migraine, can't tolerate loud noise, & usually feel slightly off balance, eyes don't focus well. Sometimes the pain is still there the next day. I think it probably takes a couple of days for our blood vessels or arteries to relax again.

These days I feel like what I call my migraine hangover. Fatigued, weak, irritable, and nauseous.

When my migraines weren't so frequent and I only had one once every 3 months or so, I actually felt extra good the next day....literally euphoric, which I've read is a possible prodrome phase.

Clearly, I preferred the super great feeling euphoria to the current aftermath.

Migraines are terrible!! I just keep getting more tired! Thankfully I had no more migraines and hopefully yesterday was the last of the flare. I just want my energy back! How do you guys recover the day after migraines? I had a little energy throughout the day but now I am starting to feel worn down and fuzzy head and just plain out of it. I go out to dinner tomorrow with friends but I have to see how I feel whether to go or not. I feel bad that I keep having to bail on friends because i'm just too tired.

Well, I hope you're feeling better today.

I also feel bad the day after a migraine. For me, "hangover" describes it pretty well. But because I feel better than I did the day (or days) of the migraine, it's easy for me to overdo things the day after. I've had to learn to pace myself the next day, and to consider my day after still a bit of a "sick day" and take extra care of myself. I drink more fluids, I rest more, I eat foods that are easier for me to digest since I also get a lot of nausea with my migraines (I had a migraine specialist tell me that my migraine probably makes my gastroparesis worse). If I go out, I make "escape plans", i.e. a way to get home or to a quite place to lay down quickly (these plans usually involve my husband because if I feel bad, I don't like driving).

My migraine "hangover" somewhat parlelles to what everyone else has explained; feeling tired, mentally and visually a bit out of it, very sensitive in all areas of sensation is a good way I would put it, visually lights are more obnoxious and seem brighter, too much noise seems a bit overbarring, stomach sensativity, usually I get bad anxiety/ ocd the days after a migraine, and doing things like watching tv for too long, or being on the computer seems very draining and visually annoying. My hangover or postdrome always lasts at least 5-7 days, which I think is long compared to the average migrainer, but everyone's different.
