EGorman
I'm always itchy! Sometimes it's unbearable! It keeps me up at night. I know I don't have diabetes, so it can't be from that, but could it be from something that is causing my ANS problems? Anyone else have this issue? I've been like this for just a little bit before my ANS problems started. I'm not on medication yet, so it's not a side effect.
Katybug
Have you been evaluated for mast cell activation syndrome (mcas)? That can cause itchiness and can contribute to dysautonomia.
Christy_D
Like Katie said above check out MCAS, my son itched a lot and found cool showers helped him. He was diagnosed with MCAS in May 2012. He takes Zyrtec and Zantac twice a day, plus he takes Doxepin which also has anti-histamine in it. artluvr09
For a relieve maybe you could try goldbond powder or lotion? I have chilblains and during the winter when it is hot in the house my chilblains make my feet really itchy and the gold bond powder helped. the one I had had like a cooling effect. E Soskis
does your skin taste salty? - kidney issues can cause skin itch and salts come up through the skin - liver dysfunction can also cause skin itch - routine blood tests would pick up abnormalities

Mike
I take a Claritin every day because I get so itchy, I almost couldn't function without taking the Claritin. I also get red all over my body, people are constantly asking if I scratched my face and neck, or what happened. I have Neurocardiogenic Syncope but I don't know if it's related in any way. dkd
Itchiness was the main reason I went to a gluten free diet. It seems to have helped.
