Darlene
before eating a few hours ago my heart rate was 63, after eating my hr was 95. anyone else?
Faintinggoat
Yup, I get that way too. When you eat, it takes blood to digest, which requires your heart to pump blood there. The larger the meals, the more blood it takes to digest.
MomtoGiuliana
Yes, this happens to me too. It is usually worse in the AM for me.
Katybug
I often have to lay down after eating or even sometimes before I'm finished eating. I get very presyncopal and all the color drains out of my face. Only laying down helps me. If I try to stick it out it just gets worse. BeforeTheMorning
Yes this definitely happens to me, particularly after eating a high carbohydrate meal.BTW northerndarlene, I love the quote in your signature, that is so true!Best Wishes,Lyla
khaarina
Yep, sometimes my HR goes into the 130's after eating. It always gets higher after eating, how high depends on what I am eating and what kind of day I am having. Watch out for restaurants. Being out and upright with feet down can really add to the problem, especially since eating out usually means eating heavy, greasy, or otherwise unheathy food. davecom
Yes, this is a big problem for me. The only thing that seems to help is to avoid carbohydrates and eat smaller meals.
badhbt
Does it happen with certain foods?
Chaos
Like others have said, I especially notice this is I have many carbs or sneak something sweet once in awhile. It's less noticeable generally if I stick to smaller, more balanced meals but can still be an issue depending on the day.
