puppylove Posted July 24, 2012 Report Share Posted July 24, 2012 For the past week my stomach has just been an absolute wreck. I can't get off the couch or even sleep at night. I was attributing this to mestinon because I recently started taking it. I'm not so sure now though. I have had a stomach ulcer, last year. It supposedly healed months ago. I have just been noticing this past week blood when I use the bathroom, but no vomiting blood. I have a doctors appointment on Thursday, but I don't know if I should be seen sooner. sue1234 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Share Posted July 24, 2012 Under most circumstances, bright red blood when having a bowel movement is more likely a hemorrhoid(sp?) or lower intestinal bleeding. Bleeding from stomach ulcers most likely causes your poop to turn black or very dark. Either way, it's something that you should let your doctor know about.They have found the majority of stomach ulcers are caused by the h. pylori bacteria.
