I Am Always In Pain. What Helps?

i am always in pain, not sure if its related to autonomic dysfunction... had one Dr. tell me its fibromyalgia, but another dr. says there isn't such thing. not sure why a Dr. would diagnose you with something if it doesn't exist. anyway, my low back hurts, hips, shoulders/neck, hurts to walk on my feet sometimes. if my cat walks across me it feels like a knife stabbing. i get this burning sensation inside my body at times, and sometimes itching. i ve tried tons of medications for pain, nothing works.

Don't let anyone tell you fibro isn't real. My fibro doctor is a specialist in fibro, and he even has it himself. His treatment for me has been very helpful. He has an excellent book 'Fibromyalgia: Up Close and Personal' by Mark Pellegrino MD. Maybe a library would have it, it is a 2005 printing. But he has an entire chapter on autonomic dysfunction and he REALLY knows his stuff. The book is huge. You can also get it on Amazon.

Brain Scans Detect Fibromyalgia. Finally a physical finding to say that fibromyalgia is a disease that's not pschosomatic

Thought those of you with Fibro would find this interesting. It came up on a chronic pain thread on facebook.

Dont know how to make it so you can hit the link and go to the page though sorry.
