I've never had a problem with having blood drawn but I passed out once after taking an IV vitamin supplement. I didn't pass out until it was over & I started home. Now she almost always feels lightheaded and "woozy" when she has blood drawn. The neurologist explained that it wasnt fear , but a reaction to the body being invaded and insulted by a foreign object. She finds it helpful to be able to lie down while the blood is being drawn, or if that isnt possible, at least stay seated for a few minutes after having the blood drawn.
