I am lightheaded and dizzy on a regular basis,I have horrible room spinning occasionally,but it is terrible. I've had to go to ER a couple of times because of it. When it happens ,I can't stand at all and have the dry heaves,that don't stop til I get IV's and anti nausea meds. I now have phenegran ,it does help. Pat

Thanks for all your replies.No I don't take aspirin,and no I am not well hydrated,I try! What I did not mention is I am a very hard blood draw,but when they do get me I really bleed. Pat

I have low blood volume and almost every time,I get my blood drawn,they ask me if I am on a blood thinner( I am not,but do bleed alot).Does anyone have the same thing or know if that has anything to do with having low blood volume? Thanks Pat

I know this is really disappointing ,I have been through it,still going through it. I know it's very hard but don't give up, that is what they want you to do! I have been waiting for a hearing for over 2 yrs. BTW I do have a lawyer,I'll let you know if it helped(hopefully soon). Good Luck Pat

I find that Gatorade does help me,water just goes right through me.I was never a Gatorade fan,but since having POTS,I have learned to tolerate it.The only flavor I drink is the punch.Basically all I drink is water and Gatorade. Pat

Hi Heather,just my opinion,but I would try another dr. As far as outgrowing POTS I have heard several drs.say that POTS is a young woman's disease and they may outgrow it. I personally don't agree .I am 59,have had POTS for over 4 yrs. I feel some drs. have very very limited knowledge of POTS if any?

I have often wondered the same thing.In my case,I have always had severe nausea (since I was a child) and migranes most of my adult life. I was though,totally functionally until I got full blown POTS after a back surgery. Since having POTS,I thought the nausea and migranes may have been signs of predispostion,anyone have any thoughts on this? Pat

Bright lights really make me symptomatic,can't go anywhere without sunglasses,like Madeline I have to keep my drapes closed from the afternoon sun.
