  2. I too know the devastation a stroke can leave behind. I cried while reading your post, my dad who now lives with us had a massive stroke a few years ago. His once vibrant life has been taken away from him, leaving him paralyzed to depend on others for every task possible. He retired from General Motors, only to have his life as he knew it taken away a few weeks later. Not the retirement he had planned :D

Of course I thank god that he is still with us, I just wanted to let you know I feel your pain.

    God bless

  4. Another easy idea!!

    Angel food cake

    Strawberries

    Banana's

    Raspberries

    Vanilla Instant Pudding

We now have square angel food cake so a little easier to slice. But anyway. Slice and layer bottom of 9 X 9 or equivalent with angel food cake (I use a square tupperware dish)

Cover with vanilla pudding, Make a layer of strawberries, bananas and raspberries.

    Repeat and refrigerate!!!

  6. I got called for Jury Duty!! Now what??? They sent me a questionaire a few months ago, I explained to them what I had as well as sending them a brochure and they still want me to do this!!

This is totally not possible. I can't even sit in one spot for more than twenty minutes!!! They really don't know what they are asking for...

Any advice as to how I can get out of this. I am having my primary physician write a letter but what if that doesn't work :)

    Thanks

My brother had the same situation a few years back, they dismissed his health issues as well and he had a heart attack a few weeks later. I'm not telling you this to scare you...

    but

We need to take our health issues seriously and insist that others do the same. If you don't feel your ER doctor has done his job then it is your right to see another physician, even if it means simply waiting for a shift change. If you can't get your local cardio or physician to get your husband in, insist on it!!!! Tell them your bringing him in and you'll just wait til the doctor can see him. I'm not sure in your state by doctors offices are suppose to leave so many empty spaces in their schedule daily for emergencies... My sister in law had problems like this even after my brothers heart attack!!! Its amazing how rude the medical field can be.

I even carry my own medical instructions for myself, I try to only go to one ER because they know me and the situation but I have had to go to others and myself or husband have to tell them what to do and not!!

    I wish you the best!!!
