Just a reminder that the bracelets are almost sold out. We won't be ordering more, so if you want one, please order asap or they will all be gone.
Thank you,
Michelle

Gayla, sorry I didn't see your question about another auction before. I have a full agenda this fall/winter, so we won't be able to run another auction until next year. Thanks!

Oh my, Melissa! I do hope the insurance will pay. The last thing you need is to have to fight something like this. You're definitely in my prayers.

I got my medical bracelet in the mail today and I absolutely love it! Thanks so much for donating it for DINET's auction. I never thought I'd actually want to wear a medical bracelet.
Thanks again to everyone who donated for the auction. You guys are great!

Just to let everyone who has bought and paid for their items know, I left positive feedback this evening.
Thanks again!

Hi Melanie,
We did think about going the Charity route (missionfish) on ebay. Unfortunately the old adage "nothing for free" applies here too. Missionfish charges extra fees on top of what ebay already charges, which is why we chose not to use their service.

We did wonder if the holiday had anything to do with lower bids. The website in general is a little slower in summertime...the kids are out of school and a lot of people are busy. We may hold next year's auction in the spring or fall instead of in the summer, especially if we get more seasonal items, like the scarves.
Thanks again!

Yes, tomorrow is the big day, so vote away! Amy and I are both really excited to get the t-shirt project off the ground!

Hi Beth,
I can't wait to get my medical bracelet/necklace. I had my eye on it for quite a while. It was one Nina donated. She does beautiful work.
Alexia said she will be mailing out whatever is already paid for on Monday. Everyone should have gotten their invoices, and if anyone has any questions they can email me at staff@dinet.org.
I'm still amazed at all the beautiful things people donated. You guys are so talented. I was showing some of the girls I work with (at the library) the items that had been donated and they just kept going on and on about how nice they were.
Thank you donors and bidders!

I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the auction. We raised over $400. There were only a few items that didn't sell, and these will be auctioned again at our next auction.
Thanks everyone!

Hi Jane,
You can fill out the request form and we'll send another dozen to you. Hurry though...supplies won't last.
While we're on the topic of brochures, I'd like to send a big thank you out to forum member Gena and Realistic Media for getting the brochures printed at cost. They saved us hundreds of dollars.

Thanks for posting about the auction, Wareagle and Nadine. I was just going to post a reminder...looks like I won't have to.

Thank you for sharing this story, and many thanks to Nina for working so hard on the bracelet project these last two years!

Thanks for the added ebay tips, Nina!
I just added this info to another post as to why the auction links aren't up yet:
Hi guys!
You can now vote for your favorite t-shirt! The voting page will be up for a week.
The auction is starting today. The auction links will be added to our website in just a few hours. Keep in mind, we are all on different time zones. The auction is scheduled to start on ebay at 9 am PDT. I will have to go in and manually add a link to each item from our webpage after the auction begins, as only then will I have a page to link to. Please check back for the links on the DINET site at around 11 am PDT. I should be able to add the links in by then.
If you need to convert time from PDT to whatever time zone you are in, you can do it here:
http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/pacific-time/
Thanks for your patience,
Michelle

TMJ goes hand in hand with EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). I have TMJ, but have been lucky in that it hasn't caused me too much pain.
As for mouthpiece's, you could even buy a mouth gaurd at a sporting goods store (usually less than $5) to see if it helps before spending a lot of money. I've been told the generic mouthpieces they sell in drugstores are very similar to the mouth guards you get in a sporting goods store. I don't know if that is true...I've never compared the two.

Is the ANSAR along the same lines as the ANSiscope? http://dyansys.com/bedside_ansiscope.htm
http://dyansys.com/autonomicdysfunction.htm
If so, I asked one of the dysautonomia gurus about it some time ago. His reply was "Seems like some form of HR variability. Fractal indices can be calculated too. Nobody knows exactly what this means. We and others have done this type of analysis for years."

Yes, there will be a link to our items on ebay.

Medscape has some great articles, but I tend to avoid them on the website due to the registration/log in nature of Medscape. I try to keep things simple for people.
Thanks for posting this, though!

I've been wondering too! I hope she checks in to let us know how things are going.

I take licorice primarily for water retention....otherwise water seems to go right through me. I don't take it every day because it can lower potassium. I usually only take it on the days I work (3-4 days a week). The capsules I take are 450 mg, and I usually take 1-2. I don't know what the recommended dose is for people with low blood pressure & POTS (or if there even is a recommended dose...I've never looked into it). If your going to try it, you really should do so under a doctor's supervision.
I have added a few licorice links to the website for further reading:

You might want to try your local library for free rooms.
Have fun!
