Guest Julia59
Hello everyone,I have a friend who needs information on the mayo clinic. He has PAF that was diagnosed by Dr. Grubb, and he definately wants to get more answers then he has been getting. He has had very little testing so far, and needs to be evaluated more throughly. There has never even been an MRI ordered, and considering the pain in the back of his head combined with neck pain, this should have been one of the first tests ordered after his TTT was done. I'm sure other testing needs to be done as well.He has had problems since childhood and needs to be taken more seriously.Thank you,Julie :0)

MightyMouse
From what I understand, he can self refer to Mayo in MN but he might get an earlier appt if a doctor makes the first contact. He'd probably want an eval by the autonomic group and perhaps neuro?Nina
Guest Julia59
How would he get in touch with the mayo clinic? I assume they have a web site. I will check it out, but I thought there might be a special area for ANS testing.Julie
ethansmom
There are several main websites that I found for Mayo:http://www.mayoclinic.com/http://www.mayo.edu/http://www.mayoclinic.org/And this one for ANS related information:http://www.mayoclinic.org/neurology-rst/au...neurogroup.htmlI was able to get in because my mom used to work at Mayo, and I first saw one of the doctors that she had been working with, then was referred through him to the neuro and several other doctors. I'm not sure how you would go about it otherwise- Im sure the info is listed at the links above. They do have very specialized autonomic testing program, and I felt that it was very complete in confirming my diagnosis. I ended up with a huge medical bill even though I had 2 PPO's, but at least I felt I had the best care available. Good luck to your friend
goldicedance
My suggestion: Call the Mayo Department of Neurology directly. You can probably find the number on the Mayo Clinic web page.
