PattiL Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Hi,There's a strong possibility that Chrissy may need surgery for her deviated septum. Has anyone had this done since they've had POTS. How did you do during the recovery process?Patti Quote
Ernie Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Hi,I had that surgery. Any procedure aggravates my condition and I never go back to baseline after. Maybe someone else has a different experience. Quote
Jacquie802 Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Hi,I had a septorhinoplasty for deviated septum....I think I need another surgery...I have some bruise marks still from the surgery which i got in 1998...going to see about seeing another ENT plastic surgeon in Boston....I've had fatigue probs for a while, and I was not diagnosed with POTS then...Jacquie Quote
juliegee Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 I had that procedure done several years ago. No special complications due to POTS. Make sure she has Ambien or something to help her sleep, especially if she has splints in her nose for a few days. Having the surgery was fabulous as I can now breathe out of both of my nostils. The procedure also cured my lifelong problem with sinus infections. I'll keep Chrissy in my prayers.Julie Quote
