MightyMouse Posted September 30, 2006 Report Share Posted September 30, 2006 Thanks for the suggestion Karen--I would just caution members to be careful with their signatures in not giving away any personal identifying information that could allow someone to figure out your full name, where you live, etc. Unfortunately, not all who visit our site are here to get information on pots, ncs, etc... we've had a few members who been targets of malicious individuals who figured out exactly who the member was and then made trouble in the real, not internet, world.As a protection to members, a few months ago, I changed the forum settings so that you cannot see signatures or avatars of members if you're not logged in. This is one level of protection I can put in place for you, but you also must be proactive in protecting yourselves.Not trying to scare anyone, just want you to be careful.
