RecipeForDisaster Posted May 16, 2020 Report Share Posted May 16, 2020 I get this in any "small" body part touching the mattress - ear, elbow, heel, etc. I haven’t gotten any help with it and my doctors don’t seem interested. The pain wakes me often. I am wearing pillows wrapped around my feet... it helps them for now. Please update me if you get it figured out! haugr Posted May 18, 2020 Report Share Posted May 18, 2020 I get that too. I noticed with me that my ears got bright red as I was coming down from an hyperadrenergic episode. I have a theory that it happens after severe vasoconstriction as the blood vessels dilate and blood flow increases. My ears definitely do this at night, too. I actually got it tonight pretty bad. It's just the weirdest thing. I first noticed it in 2008. I could go years without it happening then boom. I sorta wonder if it's a neck injury thing because shortly after it started I started getting bad neck pain and doc told me it was occipital neuralgia left side and pretty sure I have a pinched nerve in my cervical spine on the left side.
