Bigskyfam
Started 4 days ago with leg cramps. Throughout day whether sitting or standing or moving. Anyone else get similar? Pots sx or something else?
Becia
Normally when my potassium is too low my legs cramp more, also from when sitting in my wheelchair and using them to pull myself around, I noticed they are a bit sore.
Katybug
I get it when I need potassium too. A banana, a red potato, and some good green veg usually does the trick. I've never had to resort to any sort of supplement.
Natops
That’s my primary symptom. Bi-lateral - Leg cramps/pain in my feet, calves, and hamstrings. It’s part of my autoimmune channelopathy. 3 years…. And doctors really haven’t been able to help with any relief from the pain. Exercise helps a little but as soon as I rest the pain is back. Bigskyfam
This is all interesting. Mine is intermittent but is a new to me symptom. I'm not fond of a majority of our symptoms they seem to cry out emergency situation. This leaves me in a constant state of second guessing and triage
Goschi
I have permanent cramps in my calves as soon as I am upright. Was told by a physical therapist, who looked at my gait that the cramps are a result of my feeling of having a very poor balance, hence I try to place my feet/calves as solid as possible on the ground which makes the calves cramp. Becia
Ouch Goschi! That made me hurt for you just reading it. I tend to sleep in the fetal position, which doesn't help my cramps when my potassium is low.
Goschi
Ouch Goschi! That made me hurt for you just reading it.Becia, it does hurt, no doubt! ;-) But I am actually glad to know that nothing more serious is going on! Hope you are having a good (sun)day!! TCP
I've had cramps since 1984. Mainly when I've walked too much. I find magnesium helps and I spray my calves and feet with magnesium mineral spray or have a bath in Epsom Salts. Both work well.
