joyagh
I have just moved from Seattle to Fort Collins, CO with my almost-3 year old and my husband who has a new job here. The exhaustion of pushing myself with the packing, moving and caring for my DD gets to the point where I wake up in the middle of the night puking. this has happened twice during this process, after particulary tiring and stressful days. Is this a common thing with POTS if you push yourself too hard?
Katybug
I used to puke constantly. Mine is also associated with my migraines. BUt, when I would try to push myself physically, I was guaranteed to bring on the vomiting (and diarrhea, bad reflux, and abdominal pain.) I had to get a prescription of Phenergan (Promethazine) to control the vomiting and Donnatal to control the diarrhea.
Mytwogirlsrox
Could it be acid reflux?
rspry
Our bodies have limits, not unlike those who train for triathlons or a boxing match and push to the point of throwing up. We just have a different threshold for it and while its annoying that doing every day tasks exerts the same kind of energy as someone in vigorous training, I don't think the response to the exertion is unnatural. Try to listen to your body and stop when you feel like your at that breaking point or before you get to it.. In the event you have something to do that you cant help but keep pushing through (like moving) take frequent breaks and loads of water to try to keep up with whats happening around you. If its a problem your still having with out the over exertion you may want to talk to your doctor about it and see if there is something else going on. yogini
Are you making sure to stay hydrated? Do you know if your HR is going too high when this is happening? The reason I ask is that I was dry heaving (nothing in my stomach) on my TTT. The DR said this is a reflex when the HR goes too high. Hope it doesn't happen again
