Mytwogirlsrox
From sitting to standing I usually get a 10bpm increase in HR unless it's after I excercise then it's more like 30bpm. Any ideas? Does that mean I'm out of shape? Like I'm recovering poorly? Or is it a POTS thing
AllAboutPeace
I think it's a Pots thing perhaps having to do with low blood volume. My understanding of it is that after exercise the blood is going to your muscles instead of to your vital areas, so the hr increases to try to pump it to where it needs to be. I get extremely symptomatic if I try to push myself with exercise and I feel my worst a few minutes after I have stopped.
Mytwogirlsrox
Ya probably, it's just that it's hours after I exercise
Lemons2lemonade
I've heard that after you exercise, blood goes to to muscles to rebuild them. Makes sense to me, considering I don't get bad until after I exercise.
Mytwogirlsrox
I don't know why, it just made me think it's either from being Out I shape (normal people who are out of shape, it takes longer for their heart rates to get back to a resting HRl) or having decreased vagal tone?? Or more sympathetic tone? I didn't think about the pooling... I just didn't think that would be an issue hours after exercise?
