hyperpots
Don't get me wrong, I feel terrible lately every second of every day, but I have noticed when I walk, my Anxiety and some other symptoms, even the stuff in the head gets better or not as bad is the better way to put it.If I just sit in a chair with my feet up or even just sitting up or even laying down, my symptoms seem worse. It makes no sense !If I just stand up and don't move, then tons of symptoms get worse.I'm so lost in all of this.Dr. will start me on Midodrine and Mestonin and an SSRI this week, Tuesday. Hope he has it right.Steven
lieze
I've noticed this my whole life.I think the movement may provide a distraction for nerve impulses so as you move you don't feel things the same.I have the feeling that as crappy as I feel at times some of it is my brain lying to me.False sensations. kclynn
The Midodrine should help with the pooling. If you have side effects try really hard to get through them because they should go away after awhile. Midodrine helped my son be able to get up and do things. My son is worse also when he is still too long. Actually he is worse if he does anything too long, sitting, laying, walking around and being upright, so he has to change up his activities. We did notice thought that if he was moving, at friends etc... he would be less symptomatic, and when he settles he can be more symptomatic. I hope the meds help! MomtoGiuliana
I agree with what the others have said. Pooling is worse when you are immobile. Muscle contraction helps to move blood.I hope the meds you start soon will help improve this.
HopeSprings
Yes, I think walking helps the legs pump blood upward. I definitely feel worse standing in one place - very hard to stand in line at stores. I also think we're in a constant hyper/adrenaniley state and we feel it more when we're still - I feel like I'm moving with it when moving around. s-pot
Defo agree with this...i am less symptomatic when i am moving around a good bit and not doing a lot of sitting-standing. Also standing in the one position brings on symptoms...I get extremely tachy. Lying/sitting for any length of time same thing happensCan be so hard to balance thou cos I must rest when im not working but increase in symptoms when im trying to relax makes it very difficult. Its a balancing act all the time with this stuff !!
corina
when my hr goes up too much when standing still i start walking around which lowers my hr. try to keep moving, you''ll benefit from it!
Dizzysillyak
I feel better moving than standing still but I still can't think straight after a couple of minutes. I can read and understand most of what I read or hear while laying down, as long as I'm rested, but upright, I really can't. I'm guessing that my brain needs all the blood it can get ..Tc .. micheller
I'm like this too. I usually find something to keep me moving around. My boyfriend always tells me I should sit and relax but it makes things worse. I have to take little breaks when I'm sitting to do my homework or I end up rereading everything before I understand it.
