iheartcats
I had a sinus infection, took antibiotics, and they don't know if my diarrhea (yuck) is from the antibiotics are a virus going around. But...I'm trying to eat bland and drink G2. Is there anything I can do to get over the fatigue and weak feeling I'm putting up with? I need to get back to my normal and soon...and it's really tough. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.Bummer ...here's what I do, but I'm not sure if it will help ... If it's a virus or food poisoning, I usually allow one day of D and drink water constantly till I'm empty. This is very effective while on the throne too. If it still hasn't stopped after 24 hours, I use 1/2 to 1 Imodium. Then take more if needed. I'd get some probiotics to replace the good bacteria that was killed off by the antibiotics. I take Megaflora but if you're not gluten and dairy intolerant there are others that are less expensive. I'd avoid yogurt and dairy kefir at this point cause in some people there's a strong connection between dairy and phlegm and this won't be good for your sinus infection. EmergenC, the one with all the nutrients, is a good supplement for replacing nutrients. Even Walmart has it ... Even though it's cheap, a lot of people I know use it. Homemade chicken soup always helps me and it's supposed to be good for our immune systems. And rest of course ... lots of rest ... hope you feel better soon ... kayjay
Yes Pedialyte really helps me. It is a bit expensive but it is sooo much better than spots drinks. V8 first thing in the morning helps me
Rachel
Lots of fluids and lots of rest is what helps me the most. Gatorade, chicken noodle soup, hot V8 juice, water, and apple juice are some of my favorites. I spend a lot of time in bed while my body regains some strength. My husband also starts an IV for me, and the IV fluids really help. I don't know if IV fluids are an option for you, but if you are really feeling dehydrated you could probably go to the ER and get a liter or two of fluids.I hope you will be feeling better very soon.Rachel
iheartcats
Thank you everyone! I had G2 on hand (but boy, apple juice sounds good) so, while I am sick of it, I've drank a lot of it. I'm feeling better (still tired, have to shake this fatigue), but the worst of it is over.I'll have to check out the Pedialyte to have some on hand. I am supposed to avoid acidic foods so am missing my V8. But...I think I'll be OK for it in a couple of days. That stuff is a super help.Boy, a virus/food poisoning is the worst thing ever!
