Does anyone have migraines that start with blindness that comes on over about 15 min time, starting with blurriness that get progressively worse until you can hardly make out anything but shades of color. After the "blindness" goes away I get sever pain, and sensitivity to light along with dizziness. Just wanted to see if anyone gets similar migraines and how you treat them? gertie Posted January 24, 2011 Report Share Posted January 24, 2011 I do lose a lot of my vision before a migraine. It usually starts with everything getting so blurry I can't identify objects. Sometimes it will just be the jagged colorful zigzags, other times it will a large black ball obstructing vision. After about 15 min the pain begins & vision clears. When I was having migraines every day or so I took Neurontin as a preventive. I hear there are better meds now but Neurontin helped a lot, it didn't stop the migraines but it made them bearable.
