tiger
I know there are a few people on here with mito, my doc thinks I could possible have this and did a lactic acid test, waiting results. I am just curious about the people with dysautonomia which I have too, what your mito symptoms are.
toddm1960
Never ending exhaustion, I wake up with it and go to bed with it. My POTS symptoms are standard, nothing much different from the group. POTS is mostly secondary to something, my case it's mito. I wish you luck with your testing, knowing what you have and what it's causing helps from the mental side very much. Keep us updated on how you're testing is going and how you're doing.
scarfgirl
Lactic acid test? I thought Mito tests required a muscle biopsy
Rachel
A couple of my specialists believe that I have a mitochondrial disease. Mito can cause dysautonomia. If I do have mito, then my dysautonomia is a symptom of that. The specific things that made my doctors suspect mito are: early onset of symptoms, cyclic vomitting as a child, severity of symptoms, progression, and lack of response to treatment.Rachel
HopeSprings
I keep hearing about mitochondrial disease. What is it, what symptoms do you need to have to possibly have it and what type of Dr. do you go to to investigate this? Thanks.
