blueskies1234
I have come down with an upper respiratory infection, and feel like I've been hit by a truck. I will be seeing my doc tomorrow, but in the meantime do you have anything I should be aware of? Medications to avoid? I'm resting and drinking lots of fluids/salt. Thank you! potsgirl
You're doing the right things so far....major hydration and salt, lots of rest. Also, I did fine with some OTC drugs for my symptoms, including cold/flu meds and Mucinex. Your doctor will obviously give you more advice. Hope you're feeling better soon! Those of us with dysautonomia usually tend to get sicker with colds/flus and they tend to hang on longer. Be ready to be patient and let the illness run it's course - give yourself plenty of time and rest to get over it.Be well~Jana
gertie
If I had to pick one thing to avoid it would be decongestants. I don't do well with any med's but they are one of the worst for me.
