maggie
I have been doing some research on this topic and have wondered if anyone on this forum has ever had this procedure done. I wasn't able to drink that nasty stuff for my colonscopy and am looking into this as an option.Maggie
Sunfish
maggie -are you referring to colonic cleansing as a treatment modality (either one-time or ongoing) or solely on a one-time basis in order to aid with what is necessary for a colonoscopy? depending on what you're looking at (in terms of purpose) my answer/ response (and the potential medical/ health implications of what you are asking/ considering) is vastly different. i'll keep an eye out for your clarification and will then reply as appropriate.... melissa
maggie
I'm using this as a tool for a one time cleansing before having a colonscopy done. I found a gi who is doing this for patients that can't keep down the stuff they give you for the cleansing. He works in Weston at the Cleveland Clinic and have a consult set up in Sept. I was just wondering if this colonic cleansing would have an effect on my pots.Maggie
gertie
I've thought of this because I can't fast for the colonoscopy. My problem with it is I have vasovagal syncope & faint when having an enema of any kind. I hope it works for you.
maggie
Good new forum member! I just talked with Dr. Thompson and he said I could have this type of treatment before my colonscopy and it wouldn't hurt me even with my pots. I'm on to the next step a consult with the gi to see what can be done for me.Maggie
