firewatcher
I finally have to post.I faxed up my "six-month update" to Vanderbilt and got a response: come in for a re-evaluation.I get a QSART this time, possible methylhistamine after an induced flush and yet another endocrinologist's evaluation (#4.) I really hope this is worth it, I don't dare hope for answers anymore. My labs keep coming back stranger and stranger; one doc says its my meds, another says its not. I don't know if Vandy's endocrinology department is up to speed on POTS, so we'll see if they think I'm a deconditioned google-chondriac that drinks too much. I was surprised at the speed of the response, all the appointments were made within this month! Has anyone been asked to come in for a re-eval before or referral to another department? This unexplained phenomenon thing is really wearing on my last good nerve (if I have one.)I keep trying not to get my hopes up...

ramakentesh
Vandy are doing a trial on methyldopa in POTS where excessive sympo-excitation is a problem. Id be curious to see how that was going if I went there. Good luck either way - as you say yourself, just because you cant see a pattern doesnt mean there isnt one.
