Depending on your reaction: hypotension, etc. it could be a good or REALLY bad thing. My endo recommended it and I called my ANS doc at Vanderbilt who said NO WAY!!!!!! It INCREASES the length of time norepinephrine stays active in your system, so it could make everything worse, or better if you are norepinephrine deficient.

Be very careful!!!!! and take it slow!

This is an area of contention.

If POTS is indeed caused by impaired reuptake of norepinephrine this drug may result in a significant increase in your POTS symptoms because it will further inhibit the reuptake of norepinephrine. However, SNRIs in a recent study improved syncope and presyncope in a POTS patient (NET inhibition) which confuses the issue.

Either way, tread with caution and let us know how you go.

thanks guys. :D It was cleared by my EP.

I have NCS and OH- no POTS. I take Norpace,its a must have.

Taking the pristiq now and then off to work. I'll be back.................

.......and I am back (this is an Edit) I do feel like I've had a drink.

Which is perfect. So far so good.
