gertie
Do those of you with neuropathy or burning feet & legs notice that certain foods make you burn or hurt worse? Thanks.
Sunfish
nope....i've never noticed that sort of connection myself (nor heard of it mentioned in any reading or discussion related to neuropathy....be it scientific/ academic/ medical or from patients' reports/ experiences).sorry to not have a "me too" for you! melissa
Rachel
I've never noticed that certain foods make the burning in my feet worse. The burning/tingling pain gets better and worse at times, but I haven't noticed any sort of a pattern to it, or any connection with foods.Rachel
janiedelite
Mostly heat/activity/stress make it worse, but I've also noticed caffeine will make my skin burn more.
ajw4790
Hi,I have to say no as well. I also don't think that physiologically that seems all that probable. It is more likely that some foods increase peripheral blood flow, that in turn may irritate/cause increased reaction of the peripheral nerves.
