i thought i would tell everybody that i am going as a combination research and clinical patient because of my high heart rates that have gone as high as 254 one time and the doctors still would not give me anything for it and i had to spend the day in the er room so i think now that i am finally gonna get help at vanderbilt because i am not getting any help from the doctors here.

i have not posted lately because i have been waiting on a call from vanderbilt and this morning i finally got the call and i will be going into the research study march the 23rd so hopefully i will finally get the correct treatments for my pots and dysautonomia because the doctors tell me here that they do not know how to treat me.

i hope cleveland can help you sunfish because i know how bad low blood pressure and fevers are so i am sending my prayers to you for a good recovery.

flop i hope that your hip gets better soon because i know what you are talking about i have been in constant pain from neuropathy and i am here to tell you pain is not fun so god bless you and keep the faith.

melissa what was the cost of the place you and your mom stayed at when you got out of vanderbilt and do they at vanderbilt allow parents to stay in the room with you.

i was wondering if anybody had been to vanderbilt as a research study patient and if they had was it a good idea to go and did the study help you get better with your symptoms.

julie does rainitidine help with stomach bloating i have been taking it for a while now but i cannot tell any difference.

I go thru stints of this (weeks or months) when I am in a bad crash. Some kind of rapid gastric emptying or "dumping syndrome"? I have no clue.

Two things that seem to help me are vegtable glycerin -- 1-2 TBL in large glass of water, seems to slow down the rapid stomach emptying. The other thing I still use frequently is 2 ounces of aloe vera papaya juice. Tastes nasty, but seems to help pain, bloating, and other GI ickies.

Hope you find something to soothe your system soon.

my doctor also said that she would get in touch with vanderbilt and see if they could see me right away so i was wondering if anyone else had their doctor get them in right away or if they had to wait months to go to vanderbilt.

what has your doctors been telling you and have they mention autonomic neuropathy as a possible diagnose for you also what doctor are you going to i go to dr. hopkins at emory.

it showed a small fiber neuropathy that my neuroligst said was autonomic neuropathy and that is why they are sending me to vanderbilt because nobody does autonomic testing in georgia.

they did a nerve biospy and a nerve conduction test to find the autonomic neuropathy also they said that my blood pressure and high heart rate was a sign too also many of the same symptoms of pots they find with autonomic neuropathy.

Does anyone know if vanderbilt takes medicare because my doctor is sending me and she was wondering if they would take my medicare from georgia to tennessee. Also she said my definite diagnosis for sure this time is pots, autonomic neuropathy and orthostatic intolerance.

do the compression pantyhose help with the blood pooling in the abdominal area i was told at a medical supply store today that they did not help.

i went to doctor dan dan today and i dont beleive it he said that pots and autonomic neuropathy was out of his field of medical knowledge and why was i sent to him for it he also said that either i go back to the neuroligst at emory or that i go to vanderbilt does anybody have any suggestion on what i shoulddo go to vanderbilt or go to the neuroligst.

i thought i would give you all a update my pots doctor called tuesday and i will see him friday at 10 am so hopefully he will give me something for my pots because nobody has given me anything for it in six years.
