  2. Hi Sorry you feeling so worried today. I understand! I have had weird sleeping sensations too. Do a search, there was a recent post on this. You are not alone.
  3. Hi, I posted earlier today that sometimes I feel like I have had 5 cups of coffee on an empty stomach...jittery weak hungry hearting thumping YUCKY! I try to lean into and breath slowly and tell myself "this too shall pass." Good luck.
  4. Hi, I have so many questions. I am still learning....Yesterday was a terrible day. My husband had to rescue me from the grocery store parking lot because the car felt like it was moving when it was parked! Not a good sensation and new for me. After I got home and rested for a couple of hours I was so jittery and felt like I hadn't eaten in hours (I had). Can someone help explain this to me. How do you cope with the jitters? It feel like I have fasted, stayed up all night and had pots of coffee...Any tips? Thank you. As always I wish everyone a peaceful and comfortable rest tonight and a better day tomorrow.
  5. Hello, I wake up so tired these days. I used to be wide awake in the am. Now I feel headachey and tired like I haven't slept yet? Sound familiar? Is it the POTS and me trying to do too much? I wish everyone a good pots free day.....
  6. HI, Ouch this post is bring back baaaadd memories. I had blood in my urine when I was in my early twenties. A couple of years later I was hit with IC. I had the bladder biopsy and all. It was a daily problem for several years. When I started having kids things got a lot better. My dr thought hormones played a role. I still have occasional flare ups but have learned that they will pass. You will never see my wearing tight pants though because that is sure to bring it on.! So my question is could IC and POTS be related. I was surprised to see how many people have responded. How do we get to the bottom of this?
  7. Hi, Thanks for the replys. I am seeing my dr weekly to check blood pressure etc. and yes it will be tricky with my hypertension. When you guys talk about a CRASH what do you mean? It is fatigue or a dizzy, tachy experience? I is comforting to hear others talk about the sleep problems and the disoriented feeling during driving - both of those are driving me crazy. Anybody know why we feel crappy even when we are not tachy? Is it just the wear and tear? I wish everyone a great afternoon and a good nights sleep.!!
  8. Hi, I am very new here and new to life with POTS. I am still trying to figure out what is going on etc. I have always been very athletic but had to take a break when the symptoms started. I have been doing a little yoga or walking for the past two weeks. Today I decided to go to the indoor pool and swim. I used the kick board and did some slow swimming for about 20 minutes. My husband kept an eye on me. It felt great and my heart rate did not go up. Four hours later I still feel okay. Will I pay later? I will let you know!
  9. Hi. I was recently diagnosed with POTS and have lot of questions. I am 42 and this all started with me almost passing out while driving my car (everything got dark but it was brief). Lots of tests later and a good cardiologist got me to the tilt table test which I guess I flunked! I have high blood pressure and this makes things a bit complicated. I started the high salt diet last week and a few other meds. Anyways, on to the questions. Do any of you have the sensation that your feet/toes are burning. Kind of like after you have been in the cold to long and they start warming up? For those of you who don't take sleep meds (dr said sleep wouldn't be a problem but it is) do you wake up to strange sensations in your body (buring feet, heart beating, feeling agitated/adrenaline? If I don't sleep well I am much worse of the next day. Do most of you find this to be true? Do most of you still drive? I am fine around town with the kids in tow but do not like the highway since this started. I feel distracted and it is hard to concentrate. Does this sound familiar? How long did the salt diet take to help? Did you gain weight? I have always been fit and like to run, walk and swim but that was pretty much put on hold for a while. I have just started back with yoga (feels good to get the blood back to my head in the upside down positions), pilates and a litte walking. I take it slowly and need time to rest after. My worst days are when I work a full day (preschool teacher) and take care of my kids etc. I can be leveled by headaches and fatigue on those days. Does that sound familiar? Generally feel very upbeat about life and have been through muc before but somedays I can get a bit weepy. I feel moody since the salt diet started. Any connection? Well I am sure I will think of more questions and I thank you all in advance. Lina
