Thanks guys! I had a good time with my new nephew.

I'm going to Indiana to visit my new, healthy and beautiful nephew. He is from the same sister who I stayed with while her baby girl died at 7 months over a year ago. I am really looking forward to spending some happy time with all of them.

Please direct any questions or problems to Nina (Mightymouse) or Melissa (Sunfish) during this time period.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Nina, Melissa and I try to make sure that no post goes unanswered, but we've all been out of commission as of late. I'm sorry you have not had some of your posts answered. This can happen for a variety of reasons, but I can assure you that we're not in the practice of ignoring new people.

We do help caregivers meet other caregivers in our Meet Others Program. Caregivers can sign up at: http://www.dinet.org/join.htm

We have a couple of members currently working to update the physician's list. It is impossible to keep all the information on our website updated 100% of the time...there is just too much information.
I am closing this topic, as I fear it may go in the wrong direction.

I think older people are less likely to be on our forum because they are less likely to be on the Internet altogether.

Dr. Grubb wrote a book called "The Fainting Phenomenon" which discusses POTS. It is geared toward the layperson. You might find it useful.

I had surgery a few years ago. I went into bradycardia while under, but they gave me atropine and I stablized. They also made sure I had extra fluids and an arterial line to constantly monitor vitals.

Happy Birthday!
Emily, I fixed your colors. The "color" feature on this forum could use some improving. You may have to go in and manually close your color tags. So, where you want a color to end you may have to type in:
Hope that works for you!

Good idea. Thanks Dan.

I have done extensive research on symptoms relating to POTS. See:
http://www.dinet.org/symptoms.htm
You might want to look over the whole site. I think many of your questions will be answered there.

Emily, I got your check today. I just wanted to say thank you again.

I am touched by the outpouring gratitude from all of you. Thank you.
Corina, I PM'd you regarding sending in a donation. It can be done through our How You Can Help page:

Take care,

Thanks for sharing your friends' comments, Emily. I definitely appreciate your sponsoring the forum.
And a big THANK YOU to all of you who have expressed your appreciation for the forum and the work we do.

The forum is geared toward people with POTS, NCS, MSA and PAF. The majority of the people here do seem to have POTS.
You'll probably get a greater response to your questions if you start a new topic and put them in poll form.

Thanks Emily! It is greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,
I just received the bill to keep the forum up for another year. It is $108. In past years we've been blessed to have members sponsor the forum. Anyone want to sponsor it this year? If so, let me know by PM'ing me or emailing me through the forum or sending an email to staff@dinet.org.
THANKS!

Hi Jeff,
I second Nina and Katherine's thoughts here. I've checked out other forums that do have split categories and everyone still posts in one main category.
Feel free to use the poll feature regarding factors preluding the onset of dysautonomia.
Take care,
Michelle

You might want to check with your local hospital to see if it has a medical library. That's a good place to start.
Your local library can probably interloan the articles for you as well, though there may be a fee.
Best of luck,
Michelle
