Dizzy Dame
Hey there, I don't think I've talked to you before, so I wanted to say welcome .I'm moving back to the DC area so I've been researching doctors, so far I haven't found anyone in particular, but I know Johns Hopkins has conducted studies on POTS in the past. That may be a good place to look. Hopefully someone here will know a specific doctor you can call. Best of luck, Lauren
MomtoGiuliana
HelloI live on MD's eastern shore and have a great electrophysiologist who is local. PM me and I will send you his contact info if you want it. But, Johns Hopkins is closer so may be a better choice. My doctor used to be at JH, but started a private practice here several years ago.Katherine
goldicedance
Hello and welcome since I don't think we've chatted before. I live right outside Washington, DC, in suburban Maryland. I haven't found a doctor who is an expert of dysautonomia. Clue me in if you have identified someone.Lois
Sunfish
hello!-i'm sorry that you have reason to be here, but welcome!i just moved from the baltimore are & saw several docs in that area in the 8 years that i lived there. i had a doc at hopkins that dr. grubb referred me to years back but this past year he was honest enough to tell me he wasn't able to really help me further b/c of the fact that i had symptom progression to multiple body systems. when i was "just" fainting & having issues with bradycardia & tachycardia though in the past he was helpful. (he is a cardio/EP). there are some other docs at hopkins as well but they are not all accepting new patients.my best experience with an autonomic doc was with dr. khurana. he does fairly thorough testing & follow-up (compared with most) & has offices is baltimore & columbia (& one other location that i'm blanking on!) when i was a research patient at vanderbilt and as i've since returned to dr. grubb both were pleased with the testing that dr. khurana had done. he is listed on dinet's physician list which can be found from the main site or at http://www.dinet.org/physicians.htmthere is an additional maryland doc listed there that i don't know anything about.i had a great GP (as well as some other specialists) in baltimore but it's probably a bit far for you on a regular basis....hope this info helps. feel free to email or PM me if you'd like more info! melissa
