Scout
Hi everyone, I'm wondering how people have gone with COVID? My doctor advised me to be careful with getting another Pfizer jab, as I had chest pains after my second one. He said he'd give me anti-virals if I catch COVID (haven't had it and hope not to), and that I should be OK, but I am a bit anxious about not having a booster. MomtoGiuliana
I've had all the shots and boosters possible (Moderna). No problems (other than the standard side effects for about a day) and so far no COVID infection. Best to follow your dr's recommendations. Good that you are basically protected from severe outcomes with initial vaccination.
MikeO
I thought Plaxlovid is the drug of choice to help treat covid. I did lookup a 2022 study done on the cochrane library they came up with the conclusion Ivermectin has little or no effect in treating covid. Authors' conclusions: For outpatients, there is currently low‐ to high-certainty evidence that ivermectin has no beneficial effect for people with COVID‐19 https://www.cochrane.org/CD015017/INFECTN_ivermectin-preventing-and-treating-covid-19 Just my 2 cents worth. It has major interactions with two drugs I am taking. Edit: I see that this was discussed in another thread. It is too bad that it is not an option for some of us due to the interactions. Best wishes Mike!
