MeganMN
So I have a pick your brain kind of question that has been puzzling me for awhile. My symptoms are always worse when I wake up in the night and for a few hours in the morning. The reasons for this have always been explained as a fluid/volume shift sort of thing. My puzzlement lies in the fact that when I work a night shift and am not sleeping at night, the same diurnal variation happens, so my heart rate is always the most reactive and irritable in the wee hours of the morning and early morning, regardless of whether I am sleeping or not, which really is not explained by the volume shifting that happens when laying down. Any thoughts? Just curious!
JimL
Mine seems to be the opposite. It gets worse as the day goes on.
StayAtHomeMom
I am better in the morning and progressively get worse throughout the day. No matter what I am doing. Most people with POTS seem to be the other way. Maybe something to do with your nervous system just having a hard time during those hours? MomtoGiuliana
Something to do with natural diurnal variations in cortisol? I think this was suggested to me once.
