Katybug Posted August 3, 2015 Report Share Posted August 3, 2015 I didn't have chest pain or tachycardia but it did make me feel like I was struggling for breath (heavy constricted feeling in throat and chest) to the point that it would make me start choking by the time I got to the end of a sentence. It got worse as we increased my dose. There was no actually evidence of my throat swelling, it wasn't a true allergic reaction. But, it did get bad enough around the 8 week point that I had to come off of it. I found Depakote to be a much better alternative as I didn't have side effects from it.
