This is my third migraine!!!!!! I had one last night at 930 today at 1030 and it was finally starting to fade when I got another one. I layed down for 10 minutes cant lay down more or wont be able to sleep at night. my hand went numb and face. right now I just feel so so weak an ddisoriented it feels like when I talk it sounds muffled even though it doesn't to others and when other people talk ti sounds muffled. I wanted to go to the ER but my parents and grandparents keep telling me its just migrainesand keep saying they dont think I need to go. They know me better than I do myself. Do migraines differ symptoms each time? I have never had this many in a row or this bad. I don't think its a stroke because I am 23 too young. and I have had testing done when I had these migraines when I first got them. I just feel like being in b ed all day. I hate this. do any of you experience these scary symptoms? The auras are gone but I still feel like my hands and motor skills are still affected and im nauceious. I feel weak, tired not wanting to do anything. I can't even really be on the computer. Its a struggle just to type this. Its a struggle to eat even though I make myself because I know I should. have any of you had migraines this bad with numbing and auras and feeling like your muffled when you talk. I don't know why its lasting this long. I keep thinking its something more serious but my grandma keeps telling me its my migraines and that migraines can come in clusters. This is scary and I just want it to go away. my grandma got me more b2 so I just took 400 mgs so hopefully it will start fading.

Well, my migraines transformed some over time. And I've had a neurologist tell me that for me, when I had a series of migraines in short order, like one in the evening one day and then again the next day, he felt I should count that as one big long migraine.

That all said, I do think it would be best to call your doctor, have him/her paged or leave a message, and let him/her know what's going on. As this is not a typical migraine for you I feel that change should not be ignored. Sorry if the bold is too much, but I really felt like that should be emphasized.

Thanks! sadly I do not have a doctor I am inbetween ones. my pediatrician let me go in august since I am 23 and I have to find a family one that takes my insurance which has been hard. we found one we just have to complete paperwork.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are struggling. Last week I had the first migraine I've ever had. Oh my. I went to ER, hubby drove me and they gave me a few meds. It was so nerve wracking because I kept telling them I have dysautonomia how will this effect it as I've never had the meds before. They kept me there and monitored me. I did not fill the preventative migraine med. I will chat with my specialist first. Rest, fluids and darkened room. Cool washcloth. They also gave me fluids. The meds made me feel loopy for a while, but migraine went away

Im sorry you had to go through that! It is scary! I don't like taking meds either. I can't take the migraine treatment meds because most of them have caffeine and I hate side effects. I am on vitamin b2 400 mgs for migraine prevention. It has worked since thanksgiving but I have been out since Thursday and I had ham last night that my grandma made and she insisted it did not have sodium nitrate then this morning we looked and there the last ingredient was sodium nitrate which is one of my biggest triggers! So I had soup for dinner today since I wasn't really hungry.

Hi art,

I have, on average, 15 migraines a month at this point. Sometimes it's every other day, sometimes it's several days in a row followed by a couple of days of relief. I always get swelling and drooping in the right side of my face, sometimes to the point that it scares my loved ones. Other times it is milder. When the swelling is really bad, I do have some numbness but not complete numbness. I also have weird hearing , severe tinnitus, and wacky visual disturbances and nystagmus.

All of that being said, people with migraines are statistically more likely to have strokes. And, no one is too young to have a stroke. I don't say that to scare you. I just want you to have the facts. If you feel like you are in trouble medically, please get help. You need to decide if you feel like you are having a medical crisis and need a doctor's help or if this is just a variation of your "normal" migraine pattern but is not an emergency.

I'm really sorry you are suffering. Migraines are no fun and can be scary.
