andybonse
Hi guys,So I went to a specialist cardiologist on Tuesday, knows his stuff! He didn't even want to do a tilt table as I did it while having a ecg .He said as my rate goes up from 66 to 94-105 its not going to cause much issues, which is true still anxious though! I was happy he actually agreed it was POTS and finally have an answer. The advise is he doesnt want someone so young just to be on pills, he said as I got it as a teen there is a good chance is could go on its own in a few years, and advised me to get an excercise plan and drink 2-3l water a day and if there is no improvements in the way I feel in 2 months he will let me have low dose beta blockers which should help .As i'm quite unfit, i'm hoping if I do biking every day it will bring my heart rate down a little and give me more strength and energy. Hope
A diagnosis is great! Maybe since they've caught this when you are young you will be better able to manage it through life. Let us know if your plan works for you.

andybonse
Thanks,I've bought an excercise bike so I am planning to do 20 mins per day and each week up it by 5 minutes to get fit as possible!Surely if someone who has not excercised for 6 years(not good I know!) properly will allow the heart to get stronger and allow more volume of blood to be pumped around the body, so I'm assuming it will bring my standing heart rate down or if it raises at first it will come down faster with more energy.I might do a blog or something stating my excercise and diet seeing what results I get over the next 6 months or so!Its getting me down a little, I was the fittest in my class at school! could run for ages! Blooming Pots! lol.

margiebee
I know how relieving it is to finally get an answer, I'm happy for you! I think if you can manage without taking meds then that's even better, exercise has been helping me quite a bit lately, especially working on the leg muscles
