Derekliz- POTS is unique because it is a HR elevation without hypotension. A body's normal response mechanism to hypotension is to elevate your HR, so if you have hypotension when you stand up then the elevated HR is "normal". A lot of us have both POTS and NMH (aka NCS, OH) but in that case you meet POTS criteria first and have the blood pressure change later in the test. Or, the primary issue is the hypotension so you get a NMH/NCS diagnosis without the POTS diagnosis.

Hope that made it more clear for you and didn't just confuse the issue more. :)
