hholmes13
Cool! Is any body actually taking this for POTS right now or is this still in the works? I saw that it's currently used mostly for treating bed-wetting and diabetes insipidus. Reading about how this drug works, it makes sense why it could help alleviate POTS symptoms. sue1234
Rama, we talked about this very article a couple of weeks ago: (here's the thread)http://forums.dinet.org/index.php?/topic/20408-new-article-out-of-vandy-ddavp-as-a-possible-treatment-for-pots/page__p__189287#entry189287What I'd love is the full article. Would you have access to it?
rubytuesday
Yes, my cardiac specialist was going to add DDAVP for my OH/dysautonomia until I pointed out my allergy to it. They use it to control hemorrhaging and to concentrate urine. I had to use it after pituitary tumor removal when urine was hypo-osmolar and after hemorrhaging after surgery (it was then I broke out in itchy hives). Being a bleeder, I will reserve it for times of hemorrhage with some antihistamine.
