Wow!!! The Resqpod Is An Impedance Threshold Device (Itd) That Provides Perfusion On Demand (Pod)

Recommended Posts

also this one from the same company http://www.advancedcirculatory.com/ResQGARD/Product_Overview.htm

The ResQGARD is an Impedance Threshold Device (ITD) that provides a safe, simple and convenient way to treat states of low blood pressure in spontaneously breathing patients. The ResQGARD provides therapeutic benefit as soon as a patient begins to breathe through it. Animal and clinical studies have shown that the ResQGARD increases blood pressure during hypotension from a variety of causes, for example:

  • Orthostatic intolerance
  • Hypovolemia
  • Heat shock
  • Dialysis
  • Blood donation

Are they saying that increasing the pressure it takes to inhale oxygen will increase blood flow ? Also,

why isn't this device attatched to an oxygen tank ? Wouldn't that make it more functional.

I'd love to try this.

Just out of curiosity I cupped my hands over my nose and mouth and took some deep breaths. Lol

I don't know if it helped but I felt more awake ..

This is so cool! NASA uses this and gave the makers an award for it!

It is cool but my plunges with the BP occur without warning, leaving me without the strength and cognition to grab those things and out them to use. Sadly, from an insurance provider perspective (and perhaps in reality) it may be just as simple to fall (if it happens) or perferrably lay down. For me, so far, I've been fortunate that the blood gradually gets back to the brain before too long. IMO insurances look for the most cost effective/safe modes and providers who will promote them. Laying down with legs elevated I'm sure is much cheaper than a contraption that has a patent. But I could be wrong in my presumption.

I bump an older thread on this called "ltd idea works for me".

In that thread somone said this condition, not constricting our thoraxes enough is a consequence

of this illness. I hadn't heard that.

It also looks like we can buy this device online. Or someone suggested breathing through a straw.

I have to try this ..

Tc .. D

Not sure if it's clear but there are two devices, one is used for CPR and seems to me is of great benefit for people who have hypovolemia or perfusion issues.

The second device is one that can be used daily and not in a rescue situation.

Both devices in my opinion are cheap! I'm going to buy the ResQgaurd, the one that is used daily. It is a womping $22 + shipping, but I might buy it with the case, nose plug and mask which is $55. I'll review it and give everyone my opinion after a week of using it. http://www.advancedcirculatory.com/ResQGARD/Product_Overview.htm if you go to this page you can order from any of these 4 online stores.. http://www.advancedcirculatory.com/Distributors.htm

I believe the CPR devise the pod is $199..

I asked one of the US dysautonomia researchers if he heard of it and he has, but he hasn't gotten back if he tested it or if it works..
