Anp

Interesting. Causes hypovolemia. A lot of us have sharp pain over the heart. I read in an article a few years back that some docs think that the pain is caused by abnormal pressures in some heart chambers. Maybe ANP is being released and worsening the hypovolemia? Just a thought...

Julie, I think there could be something to it. It causes vasodilation, which could explain the flashes I get. This is a post I did last October when reading about hypoglycemia and it related ANF:

I mean, we have known for a while that alot of us just don't have normal blood glucose. Not diabetic, but a different, odd pattern of lows, normals, and occasionally highs.

I know we don't have answers, but I sure love fitting another puzzle piece into place! I mean, with your doctor also thinking blood sugar might be a factor, maybe this is the path for some of us. I will be bringing my linked article back to my Mayo appt. with the cardiologist AND the endocrinologist.
