brethor9
Hi All!So over the last couple of days my body has decided to throw a new baffling symptom in my lap. I woke up suddenly one morning with this horrible burning, stinging sensation under the skin in the back of my thigh. I mean it is so painful I cringe having anything touch it. I went to ER and they thought maybe shingles? went to GP today and she said not because it is not red or swollen...she is actually stumped. I have seen many posts about neuropathy and wonder if this could be that? does it usually start suddenly? My GP just wants to wait and see what happens with it so I am kinda at a loss of what to do....all I know is it is really uncomfortable!!! Anyone experience anything like this??Bren
E246
I used to have terrible pains in the back of my thighs. This was before i knew i had POTS. It was a bit like burning and aching. Sometimes it happened when i was driving and i would twist and turn and change position. At the time i was worried it was a clot. Since the post has been full blown the pain has gone.Hope this helps. louloutinks
Hi BrenHope you are well. Just thought that I would add that I have had this many times but I do not know what it is.If it is the same thing that is - but the way it feels to me is almost like I have burned my skin like an open wound burn and just the slightest touch can be painful.I had it on the back of my upper legs and it was extremely painful just to sit on a toilet seat (sorry TMI!). I had it on the back of my legs on and off for a long time. Since then I have had it on my stomach/ribs and also on my lower back/bottom which went round to the front of my hip. Bedclothes or sheets would make my skin feel almost 'sore'.It would be good to get an answer to it.
