rach73
Hi,just a quick question. I had a letter back from the hospital today that said the valsava maneuvers were normal that were performed during my tilt table test. What does this mean in regards to my diagnosis of POTS?I didn't perform them during the tilt table test as I started vomiting. The valsava maneuvers were done with me lying flat on my back and caused a lot of discomfort in my chest with forceful palpitations. Would that have altered the result in anyway, doing them lying down?ThanksRach
firewatcher
My Valsalva test was also done lying down. I think that the test is supposed to be done in that position. Valsalva doesn't have to be off to have POTS.
rach73
Thanks Firewatcher. I am so paranoid about Dr's that I just needed some reassurance. I am just so used to them saying one thing to your face and another in any correspondence, I find it difficult to trust anything they say.I panicked thinking they would take the diagnosis away. Thank you.Rach

rach73
I'm glad I am not the only one whose brain is failing to play the game today!I'm giving up for a few hours and climbing back into bed. Can't focus on anything as my eyes are playing the "lets roll back in your head game and see if you can manage to focus on anything".Rach
