Mayo Clinic Appointment

Why don't you make an appointment? Even knowing it is three months away will hold your spot.

My physician called the first time and it took me three months to get an appointment. The following two times, years afterwards, took much less time since my history was there already.

I was on the waiting list for 10 months before they called me to give me an appt date a month later.

I'm actually at the Mayo right now! Today was my first day (of 10) and so far it's amazing.

So, from what I've experienced so far, it was well worth the wait...

I am seeing Dr. Singer and he's VERY nice and VERY thorough. He really seems to "get it."

Good luck and hang in there! I know how frustrating the waiting is!

My doctor's office submitted their request for me to be seen and told me it would take a couple of weeks to hear back from Mayo. I received a call the next day! I did have to wait about three months to actually get in, but getting the appointment wasn't difficult. My doctor had to submit info on why he thought I should be seen at Mayo, including my symptoms and prior diagnoses.

Hi Ken~

My doctor contact them for an appointment, and I was seen in about 6 weeks. You really need your primary care/cardiologist/neuro to do this for you. You'll get in so much faster. This was at the clinic in Rochester, where the ANS specialists are. You might try for Dr. Brent Goodman, I really liked him.

good luck!

I think it depends on which one you're going to. I got into AZ in about 3 weeks. But, as far as POTS it's not the place to go. They can do a TTT but that's all they did for me. I at least got the diagnosis and found out about the Ehlers Danlos. I think, from what I've read on this site - Rockchester or FL are better. I made my own appointment too. What you tell them when they interview you determines how fast they get you in. Then they send what you say to the doctors then the doctor determines how fast you get in.
