Mrs. Burschman Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Hello fellow dysautonomiacs! I haven't been on here for a long time, but now I have need for your advice. My husband and I recently moved to Washington, D.C., and I need to find a doctor. I don't really need a specialist for my POTS; I just would love to find an internal medicine specialist who won't think I'm crazy when I start talking about POTS.Does anyone on here know of any good doctors? I live in the district, so it would be cool to find someone not too far away.I hope that you're all doing as well as possible. I'm doing OK, as long as I don't get too hot. I'll try to stop by more often!Amy (Mrs. Burschman) Quote
Rachel Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Hi Amy,I have wondered from time to time how you were doing. It's good to hear from you. Thanks for checking in!I don't know of any doctors any your area. Maybe someone else will chime in. I hope you can find a good one.Rachel Quote
iheartcats Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Good luck with your search!I just moved from Chicago to San Francisco and am pulling my hair out trying to find a Cardio! I did find a good PCP, thank God. That was a search, too, and he's not really heard of POTS but he's reading the literature and willing to HELP. He also treats some infectious disease patients so this isn't something completely off the wall for him. Hope this helps you in some way - at least finding a doctor who treats 'abnormal' issues is a start. Quote
