mkoven
I've intermittently felt like the back of my tongue is asleep-- it burns/tingles. Anyone else?
juliegee
Careful. Keep your benadryl close by. Be alert for any tongue swelling to go along with that feeling. Other signs of anaphylaxis include a lightheaded feeling, tachy, nausea, "D", etc.
mkoven
I've been severely allergic before and know the feeling my tongue gets with this. It's more like my tongue has pins and needles in the back. I wonder if it's one of my many weird migraine neurological symptoms????
mkoven
So my doctor thinks this is either a migraine aura or "glossopharyngeal neuralgia," from some sort of hindbrain compression. lovely. My mri didn't show chiari 1.5 years ago, but I've heard that's tricky to diagnose. I see a neurologist for migraines on January 2. (Currently in the middle of a migraine )
Darlene
I have had what feels like something is zapping my tongue, but it's in the front, not the back, and I have never said anything to anyone, til now.
mkoven
I'll mention to my new neurologist, whom I'll see on 1/6. Apparently there is something called "neck-tongue" syndrome-- where the glossopharyngeal nerve gets compressed between c1 and c2. Maybe eds has caught up with my neck too?
