  1. Even when my hear rate is normal,I get a pressure between my eyes and behind my nose to the middle of the head. Foods sometimes trigger it. It's so bizzare and because of that I figure it's neurological.
  2. Yeah, the Valsalva *****. No wonder I used to get so tired playing the clarinet in the 11th grade. My heart would pound and swing on me and I couldn't keep up with all the blowing into that instrument.
  3. Hey I'm 18 and I have POTS syndrome (docs ran tests on me). Symptoms fluctuate. My heart rate will rise when I stand and I sometimes get hot flashes while standing and the bp usually will drop somewhat, ranging from 0 to 10 points (systolic, diastolic, or both). While I'm standing, sometimes my legs pool with blood but a lot of times they won't or it is mild. Even though I had doctors previously tell me that they heard a mild murmur, so mild it might just be normal blood flow, the echocariogram lying down and while running on a tread mill showed nothing physically wrong. Previously, one doctor even said it sounded like there was regurgitation in my neck. My heart will beat fast while I am sitting or after eating, or if I'm hungry, or for no reason at all. It palpitates in my chest and neck pretty hard sometimes. Because of the neurological symptoms I have (hot flashes, cold flashes, chills, heat/cold intolerance, nausea on and off, thirsty a lot, peeing a lot, pressure in my head, itchy feet from a warm shower, bad memory, fatigue, allergies, brain fog), I pretty much figured this is a hormonal/neurological problem. Since the whole valve problem was ruled out by my doctors, should I stop worrying about it? Could they have missed something on the test, or most likely not? I started college recently and I think all the activity has worsened my symptoms. When a person stands, their systolic bp should raise 8-10 points. I read on the internet that if it stays the same or drops, this is the Ragland's sign and could signal adrenal fatigue. I take a small amount of fludrocortisone and am supposed to take salt tabs. I quit taking them and only take a small amount if I feel like I need some salt if my food doesn't have enough in it, or if I am in the heat. Salt tabs make me nauseated or bloated, and I don't wanna take them because it doesn't seem to be adressing the cause of my problems. I get my salt and potasium checked and everything's normal. Idiopathic hypovolemia? Adrenal glands? Damaged nerves? Brain? Hormones? Female sex hormones? (I feel worse before menstruation) I don't even know what type of pots I have. Doc said neuropathic probably, plus the brain MIGHT be mildly releasing too much of some signal. MIGHT-------they don't really know. I had an MRI done one time cause I had head pressure straight for over 3 weeks, nothing was found. I still get head pressure/headaches sometimes.
