Make sure you have protein as well. That helps prevent crashes. I had gestational diabetes and have sugar issues now without a true diabetes diagnosis. Sometimes high sometimes low. Had a crash last night. Takes a while to recover.see your GP for a gameplan

Thanks for the reply. No meds today and feeling ok. Hoping the reaction was a fluke. Scary to think something to help you with one issue worsens the other. At least I have the meds in an emergency

I had two diff tilt tables the first the doc said had inconsistancies so they repeated the second no charge. I didn't pass the second one . Diagnosed with pots

Thank you for your thoughts. My doc suggested trial of Zantac.I have a wicked headache now. I'm only 6 hours into the 24 hour dose. Huge step back. Trial and error is for the birds... Especially when you are having an allergic reaction

Thx katybug. The doc said try Zyrtec less side effects. I'm waiting til Zyrtec is out if my system and I have a new bottle of Benedryl ready if needed. I feel like I took a few steps back. Headache/ tachy and worn out. And I have work tomorrow. Can't call in

Do all pots people have symptoms of mcad at times. Like overlap of symptoms? I've seen vandy talk about that if not mistaken

Today I experienced my first allergic reaction. Not sure to what. DX with POTS last fall. Today itchy ears and throat, cough, chest and throat tightness,flushing that came outta nowhere... Then, took Zyrtec after urgent care doc advise and am feeling wiped out and tachycardic while laying down. Anyone else on Zyrtec? Does it cause tachycardia?

I'm in Montana if you figure it out let me know . I'm on waiting list for a doc near there.

Do you take any meds or do the lifestyle changes still? Example.. Salt, fluids, exercise? I was diagnosed this past fall and was bed bound, then housebound. Not quite my normal self but able to function better. Just thinking

Understand I've done better over past few months. We don't eat out very often. The first time since diagnosis I thought I would have to leave. The big test is coming up for me next week. Just back to work and we have a nurses meeting at a restaurant double whammy.

Also drinking a lot of water prior to. Throw open a window or fan, water not to hot, try to not lean back. That gets me every time
