  1. Some of these morons will add info. as if they just discovered it. They don't know how to say pt. told phys................. What a maroon. Sorry--DON'T let him take away your power You knew this before you read this. Don't let him take that away. That would be tooo sad. I would also send a copy of your letter to the county medical society. The pres. will talk with both. And it just goes as a concern re. him. Unless they find more about him. Also some get a higher level of payment for more complicated visits. Sorry this happenned.

    Take care Miriam

  2. as usual Morgan you are the woman. I know that your training has in the past and will in the future help you ultimately. How are you????? I am so glad that you are able to respond more. For some reason--need a bipsy to be sure my B12 is needing t be increased. I just get monthly shots, no need to biopsy me. Take care. Hope your sons are doing O.K. Miriam

  3. I respectfully disagre re: conversion disorder. Being a bilogist doesn't necesarrily mean that by defiition you can diagnose. When this happpens there are other things taken into consideration. One must try to understand and ask questions--All family and loved ones. I do know of people with dysautoniomias who have had conversion disorders. It is very hard at times to deal with all the unknowns going on in your body. Morgan you are a nurse you are an intelligent lady. I am happy you able to keep in touch......Miriam

  4. Missed ya Lady.....A therapist told me tyhat we can have a conversion disorder that is due to the pots we are suffering with. This doesnt last forever. Makes sense. Lord knows that its amazing that we don't have more stuff. I am so thankful taht your husband posted for you. I talked to my son 3rd year med student at UW. He said that because you are in spokane that your lack of knowlwdgeable doctors is sad but not expected.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope your getting stronger each day. PM me if you need anything. Miriam

  5. Lady you are imppressive. You are really doing amazing. That must make you feel that you have a little more POWER or contol of things in your life. Dig it !!!! I hope JEff/? does well with this treatment Ihave been praying for him.

What is your puzzle e-mail address. Take care and enjoy!!!!

As for thanksgiving do it you have things to be thankful for this year. My sister in law makes the turkey the day before tastes great and not having this to do in one day is good. Then everyone can help. Take care Miriam :)

  6. Dizzy--You must get this checked out immediately. Ihsd slmost exactly the same thing. I waited a couple days..........callled told me to go IMMEDIATELY to the ER I had a TIA mini stroke) in my L eye. Fortunately this was able t be resolved and My vision can be better w/ new glasses. 7. Pooh,

At least get an appointment with an attorney specializing in Disabilities. You turn over the info you have and their law clerks will get the rest. Mine was wierd got denied when I did it alone. My lawyers clerks and paralegals to get info thats very important. When I started if you spply snf get approved your lawyer gets 25% of the 12mos. Since the judge gsve a specific date(I was in CCU). He is actually starting it that day less 6mos. My situation is wierd and the judge can't see you. If you sre ready I would go attorney sll the way. If you have cognition probems, ask for neuropsych testing. I also had it done after my car accident 1997. The judge commented that he wished all reports were like that one"it would make my job much easier. The vocational expert that was assigned to my case. Before the hering he said I could take tickets, be a cashier. The judge leaned over to him and ask,ed is there any employer sble to bend, (brain fart.) Again since my pcp knows me that judge gave her testimony more weight.Goog luck Didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Since they tried to see if I could do the 8 hours sittin-- no go all my doctorsThe state would then have to finf a job connected snf the voc. rehab said there was nothin.I had my hearing (9/7) And received a lettef decision, fully favorable. Good luck you can e-mail me if ya need help.MPK :)

  8. Hi,

Hear e out! I talked to some people at Pitt about potd, and I found out that geriatrics doctord know a whole lot about this. I made an appt. When I asked if I should bring info on pots, she very matter of factly said no that they know alot about it as people get orhtostatic hypertension and pots!!! Let you know MPK :)

  9. Melissa,

True story. It took me 20 years to finish my education. Ihad children, worked......

I got more extensions for work. It went to the board of trustees at Penn State, they allowed my late drops etc.... My point is that some semesters are better and you do what you can. :) i feel taht ultimately my education was the best available. Not saying to take as long!!!!!!! But not full time all the time. Also took corespondence courses. Thinkin of ya Miriam ;)

  10. I went to the Boundary Waters with my husband for my 50th birthday last week. This still amazes all who know me. Had a good time. When we got home late last night, we opened the garage door--our mail goes into hole in door and into a trash can!!!! So I started to pick up this mail and had in my hand a letter from social securty. My arrorneys said it would take up to 6 mos. to hear. So I cautiosly opened it and the first thing I saw was "Notice of Decision-Fully Favorable"!!!!!!!

I just had my hearing 9/7---and the response was dated 9/16.........................

It goes back to 2/14/2002, whatever that means. The most important letter that he considered was from my therapist whom I have seen for 3 years. And he was quoted all through the 9 page answer, My PCP also went into detail of no more than 6 hours a day must be able to elevate legs, and have time to lie down.

I hope this is it. Miriam

  11. Remember "REMARKABLE WOMEN Do REMARKABlE THINGS"!!!!!!![/i have no doubt that you will finish your training, and be a medical social worker. finding the correct balance is the key. And keys come in all shapes and sizes. The best Miriam 25 years to complete my degree at PSU. I had children, jobs etc.....Had not taken so many interesting classes I would have been done much sooner. :)
