  1. wow chaos so i went to that link, and i did fit the criteria. so i guess that could be a possibility for what i have too. i had never even heard of that before. thanks again so much for the info i really appreciate it.
  2. Thank you for the advice spinner, i very much appreciate it, and i will keep all of those things in mind. i am looking into the cost of the cleveland clinic and currently fighting to get insurance so i can go somewhere like that. Chaos- i have not done that, thats a great idea i am planning on doing that tomorrow morning with my bp machine. i had not looked into cfs, so thank you so much for that link and all the info. deeply appreciated!! looneymom-thank you for the support, it is so good to hear that its possibly not just all in my head like they imply! i really really hope i can get to the cleveland clinic, i do think the right doctor will make the difference, as happened to me in the past.
  3. From my understanding, if your menstruation is so heavy you become anemic then yes this can lead to hypovolemia. Basically if you are losing your RBCs or any electrolytes , proteins, etc this throws the concentration of solutes in your blood out of whack. When that happens the delicate balance of concentration differences between your vascular system and the interstitial fluid is also thrown off. This can lead to the H2O in your blood moving over to the interstitial fluid to balance things out. Because you've now lost RBCs and fluid =hypovolemia. If that's happening a hypertonic IV solution should theoretically help. However, I'm not sure that is commonly prescribed for anemia. Disclaimer though, I am only studying to be a DNP at the moment so please take with a grain of salt as I could be wrong. I will try to check out some of my textbooks.
  4. Thank you Alex and Katie. I have not checked my HR lying and standing, but I do notice that after getting up i can really feel it beating hard and rapidly. i should check though, thats a good idea. Im currently in indiana, if anyone has any doctor suggestions id appreciate it, although if they are very expensive im not sure i can afford it. thank you again for the welcome.
  5. oh forgot to add, i seem to sweat excessively. ill be dripping in sweat and everyone else around me is fine. this doesnt occur with the other symptoms per se, just basically all the time like i run too hot or something.
  6. Hi all, I am posting on here because I need advice. I am 27 yr old female, diagnosed with MVP with mild reguritation when i was 19. At that time i was experiencing palpitations, lightheadedness at times, chest pain etc. First the doctor told me I was depressed, even though I wasn't and would only write me a scrip for depression meds because the EKG was normal. I finally decided to ignore getting a referral and went to a cardiologist who diagnosed me, but didn't seem to care at all that i was suffering from those symptoms. Well after all that I began eating healthier, mostly cut out caffeine and new what to do to help stop the palps. Things had been pretty good/tolerable for a long time. Fast forward to one year ago. It all began with fatigue and lightheadedness like i had never experienced before. Went to the doctor was diagnosed with hypertension and put on meds, but hasn't helped any of my symptoms at all. They just seem to be getting worse and i have more bad days than good, and I dont know/understand what is going on with me, ive seen 4 different doctors and all act like im crazy and its just in my head. I did some research online and now i wonder if i have pots/dysautonomia and if anyone can help shed some light on this i would appreciate it. heres a list of my history and current symptoms: -extreme fatigue (some days bad, others i feel ok) -lightheadedness (can hit at any time even just sitting, but almost always also occurs when getting up after lying down) -tingling in my fingers and toes -feet and hands turn purple (mostly when sitting or lying down) -almost constant nausea (not triggered by any food that i can tell) -worsening food allergies -hypertension (now under control) -weight gain(40 lbs in one year) -interstitial cystitis -overactive bladder , frequently getting me up at night -palpitations and chest pain -sometimes shortness of breath (can happen when exercising or just doing nothing) -exercise intolerance -muscles feel weak and twitch -hay fever -acid reflux -feelings of anxiety when some symptoms hit -lips and hands often shake/quiver I am just so desperate for an answer and want to feel better again. The doctors dont seem to care/believe me and to top it off i no longer have insurance. do these symptoms sound like dysautonomia to anyone? thanks for any help/advice
