  1. Hello. I just had a quick question... does anyone else experience low-grade fevers? I often get this at night and my doctor thought it was unrelated. I thought it was related because I know that your autonomic nervous system regulates body temperature and such. If anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know. It's one of those symptoms that worries me. Thanks everyone -Stacey
  2. I used to have a similar feeling, but it was only in my left leg. I have not experienced that feeling in a while, since I have been on meds. I think it is definutely related though. I sometimes get a tingling sensation in my thumb and index finger, but only in my left hand. It's weird, but I think it is just another annoying symptom. I was feeling better this past week, but started feeling very bad again last night. I am very light-headed, tired, and my face feels very hot. I also get low grade fevers, do you ever have that? Just curious Anyways, hang in there, and I hope you feel better soon. -Stacey
  3. Thanks for all of the replys. My eyes have been feeling a little better for the last two days. Hopefully this pesky symptom is letting up
  4. I also had nasty palpatations for a while. They were especially bad when I was trying to sleep at night. I am now taking .1mg of florinef and 12.5mg of Toprol XL. My palpatations have been less frequent recently, but I don't know if it is because of the medications or that they have become less frequent over time. Sorry I do not have any more helpful information for you. I hope this lessens for you too. -Stacey
  5. I too can relate to this. I used to be in constant panic. I would freak out any time I was alone, and I did not do too much better when there were any other people there. I too used to think that I would not make it through the night. I have not gotten enough information from my doctor to take away my fear. Sometimes I get the feeling that I just can't go on any longer. When I feel like this, I just think that I have had every test possible that could determine if there was anything life threatening wrong with me and they all came up negative. I think that I have had this feeling before, and I know that it will pass. My mom tells me to do something that distracts me, but we all know that is easier said than done. All I can tell you is that fear only makes your symptoms worse. Try to relax as much as you can. Good luck to you -Stacey
  6. Thanks for the replies!! Jessica, I also had a lot of problems with dry eyes while wearing contacts. I tried wearing glasses but still had problems. I think this definutely relates to POTS. Thanks guys. I feel better knowing that I am not alone in this. I also have bloodshot eyes. The thing that scared me the most happened a couple of weeks ago. I was out at a restaurant with my boyfriend, and out of no where, I saw a patch of wavy lines. It my vision darkened over the course of about ten minutes to the point where I could barely see. I was getting all kinds of halos off of everything around me. Anyways, it went away in about twenty minutes. I was scared to death!! I then woke up later that night with the worst headache of my life. I called my cardiologist and he said it sounded like migraines. A couple of days later, I had the same vision problem, but it only lasted for about five minutes. This time, there was no headache. This is a new thing for me and very scary- does anyone have any experience with this? Sorry if my writing is kind of choppy. I just got back from an eight hour day of work, and as you all know, that is no easy feat. Well, if anyone has any info for me, please let me know. Take care all -Stacey
  7. Hello again. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced any eye/vision problems. A while back, I used to feel like I was getting a little bit of tunnel vision. In the past couple of weeks, my eyes have been very dry, no matter what I do. I also see some spots sometimes. I don't know if this is related at all, just curious. I would appreciate any information that anyone has. Thank you and everyone take care!! -Stacey
  8. Hello;) Thanks for all of the responses. It really helps to hear from people who really know how you feel. I had a horrible time finishing my semester of grad school last year... luckily my professors were really understanding. I am struggling again, hoping I can make it through. Good luck to all of you. (and yes, my name is spelled with an e- LoL) Hope everyone hangs in there!
  9. Hello. I am a 24 year old who was just diagnosed a few months ago, after undergoing a painful time bouncing from doctor to doctor. I really enjoy reading all of your posts. It is nice to know that I am not alone. I first began having problems back in July of 2002. I then got mono in December of 2002, and have been very symtomatic since. I feel like I have seen every doctor possible, and most of them have told me that it is just anxiety. I finally found a doctor who believed that I really was sick...thank goodness- I was beginning to think I really was crazy. I am having a hard time right now, trying to finish grad school. I feel like it is impossible due to my illness. Does anyone else go to school? I read that one person was taking classes online. I have one of those, but I also have two other classes that I have to go to, and a field placement. Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself. Good luck to everyone -Stacey
